Cameron earned a degree in biochemistry with first class honors from Strathclyde University. He later received his doctorate from the Department of Materia Medica at the University of Glasgow. Cameron has had a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry in positions such as Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, for Hoechst-Roussel and Chief Executive Officer of PanTherix. Before joining Controlled Therapeutics he was Chief Executive Officer of Scottish Health Innovations Ltd., a newly formed company established to capture and exploit technology from the National Health Service.
