Controlled
Therapeutics was established in 1987 as a limited liability
company organised under Scottish law, and located at 1
Redwood Place, Peel Park Campus, East Kilbride, G74 5PB,
Scotland. The company’s objective is to develop,
manufacture and license pharmaceutical products based
on patented drug delivery technologies.
CT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cytokine PharmaSciences
Inc. (CPSI), a Delaware corporation having its principal
place of business in the United States at King of Prussia,

CPSI has interests in basic pharmaceutical research.
CT currently employ almost 60 people, about half of whom
are involved in research and development. The 3,500 sq.
metre building houses the manufacturing facility that
has been approved by government agencies (such as the
MCA for Europe and the FDA for the USA) to enable our
dinoprostone controlled release pessary to be manufactured
and exported to many markets around the world.
The workforce at East Kilbride contributes skills in formulation,
analytical and process development, the management of
clinical studies on a worldwide basis, as well as manufacturing
and quality. They interface with the regulatory demands
of governments, and these skills have already resulted
in one product that has been successfully developed, registered
and launched around the world. |
